Daijah Black was promoted to assistant coach on November 23, 2021.

Black started at Coppin as a volunteer coach in November 2020 working with all conference players and guards and then was promoted to Graduate Assistant Coach in October 2021.

A graduate from College of St. Joseph/Elms, Black worked as an intern with the sports information department during undergrad. In undergrad, Black was First-Team All-Defense for three consecutive years at CSJ. She was named CSJ athlete of the week six times and maintained a 3.0-3.5 all four years. She received her bachelor's degree in sports management in 2020 and is currently pursuing her masters in adult and continuing education.

She also volunteers her time at Rutland Community Cupboard, Spartan Race, Boys & Girls Club, Vermont Retirement home, Vermont Food Bank.
