Jack Westermeyer

Jack Westermeyer joined the Coppin State softball program as an assistant coach in March 2024.  Westermeyer comes to Coppin after spending the last couple seasons as the head coach at Harford CC and CCBC Dundalk.

Prior to Harford, Westermeyer led the John Carroll High School softball team from 2012-2015. In addition to his coaching responsibilities, he also instructed softball camps for middle school aged girls during that time.

Westermeyer's knowledge of the game comes from his extensive experience as a coach and a softball umpire. He has been a member of the Maryland Association of Softball Officials since 2000 and an NCAA umpire since 2006. He has umpired softball games within all three NCAA divisions as well as the NJCAA.

Westermeyer worked for the Baltimore County Police Department for 21 years. He ended his duty as a Sergeant in 1995. After receiving an Associate Degree in Automotive Technology from HCC, he became an automotive instructor and taught at Sollers Point Technical High School and CCBC Catonsville.
