Dear Student-Athletes and Parents/Guardians,
On behalf of the Coppin State Sports Medicine staff, we are pleased you have decided to return for your athletic season. We look forward to working with you. Our staff is committed to maintaining and improving the quality of health and athletic performance of our student-athletes. We hope you achieve and obtain new and rewarding challenges during this coming academic and athletic year.
Athletic Training continues to strive to provide our student-athletes with quality and efficient medical services. To achieve this, communication and cooperation between team physicians, athletic training staff, student-athlete and family is essential from the time of injury through rehabilitation and return to participation. Your cooperation in facilitating this communication is especially important.
All student-athletes Must receive a pre-participation physical exam by our Medstar Team Doctors prior to athletic activity every year. This scheduled physical will be on campus in the CSU Sports Medicine suite (room 131) in the Physical Education Center (PEC).
