Biography

Career: Finished career ranked 1st in CSU history with 15 triples while hitting .326… also ranks fifth in runs batted in (99) and stolen bases (44), sixth in base hits (169), doubles (35) and total bases (264) and tenth in runs scored (99)… Signed with USPBL’s Birmingham Bloomfield Beavers after the 2022 season.
 
2022 (Senior): 1st Team All-MEAC… 1x MEAC Player of the Week (4/25)… Played in all 54 games and made 52 starts, primarily in right field field but saw time in center field as well... Hit .316 while leading the team with 62 hits, 40 runs batted in, 13 doubles, 21 extra-base hits and 96 total bases… Scored 39 runs to go with three triples, five home runs, 23 walks, 18 stolen bases and a team-high five sacrifice flies… Posted a .490 slugging percentage and a .409 on-base percentage… Also led the team with 19 multi-hit games which included eight games with at least three hits, as well as 11 games with multiple runs batted in… Opened the season with back-to-back two-hit games at California Baptist (2/18-19), with a double in each and a pair of RBI on Saturday, before adding a hit in the finale (2/20)… Doubled, scored twice and drew a walk at Navy (2/23)… Slugged a home run, drew two walks and added two more hits in game two of a doubleheader against Saint Peter’s (2/26)… Closed the series with a pair of hits, including a double and a walk (2/27)… Went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, a school-record two triples and two walks in series finale against Cornell (3/6)… Tacked on a pair of hits with an RBI at George Washington (3/9) before collecting five hits with two RBI, a double, a triple and three steals in doubleheader against Albany (3/11)… Opened MEAC play with a three RBI effort against Delaware State and have five runs batted in2, three doubles and a homer in the series (3/18-20)… Plated three runs in nightcap of doubleheader at Norfolk State (3/26)… Continued to stay hot at Georgetown, going 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI (3/30)… Doubled and homered while driving in two runs in game two at Maryland Eastern Shore (4/15)… Had five hits and three RBI in the first two games in series at Delaware State (4/22-23) before homering with a pair of hits and three runs batted in during the finale (4/24)… Recorded four hits with a pair of RBI and three runs against Mount St. Mary’s (4/27)… Closed Maryland Eastern Shore series with pair of multi-hit efforts (4/30-5/1)… Opened MEAC Tournament going 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI against Maryland Eastern Shore (5/19)… Had three hits and an RBI off the bench in the MEAC Championship Game against Delaware State (5/21)… Scored a run and drew a walk in NCAA Regional against Coastal Carolina (6/4).

2021: Missed entire season with an injury.

2020 (Junior): Black College Nines Second Team… Second Team Preseason All-MEAC in Outfield... Started in all 12 of the games he appeared in, hitting .378 (17-for-45) with 11 runs, four doubles, a triple, three home runs and nine RBI… Slugged .711, recorded a .491 on-base percentage, stole three bases and drew nine walks… Recorded seven multi-hit games and three multi-RBI games… Had four-straight games with at least two hits, starting with a 2-for-4 with a double and RBI performance at Navy… Followed with another two hits with a home run and three RBI in win at Richmond… Scored twice and drove in another just after at George Washington and ended the streak going 3-for-4 with three runs, a double, a homer and two RBI in win at Georgetown… Closed the season with another three-straight multi hit games with a double and a homer with two RBI in finale at UNC Asheville… Recorded three singles at UMBC… Broke school-record for triples and also scored a run at Mount St. Mary’s before the season.

2019 (Sophomore): Played in 35 games with 34 starts in the outfield despite missing several games due to an injury… Hit .349 with 24 runs, 44 hits, nine doubles, a team and league-high six triples to go with 19 RBI… Drew nine walks and stole 11 bases, recording a .516 slugging percentage and .418 on-base percentage… In conference play, hit .354 with four doubles, three triples and 10 RBI while drawing four walks and stealing five bases… Slugged an impressive .508 in those games as well… Hits came in bunches with 14 multi-hit games, including five 3-hit games… Also drove in multiple runs in five games… Named MEAC Player of the Week after going 7-for-10 with three runs, two doubles, two triples and six RBI in three-game series against Albany which included a pair of 3-for-4, three RBI performances… Tied the CSU career-record for triples with a three-base knock in the MEAC Tournament against Delaware State.

2018 (Freshman): Black College Nines Freshman of the Year… 1x MEAC Rookie of the Week… BaltimoreBaseball.com All-Maryland All-Star... Started in 40 of the 42 games he appeared in, primarily in center field… Hit .303 with 25 runs scored, nine doubles, a MEAC-leading five triples, two home runs and 31 RBI… Slugged .467 and had a .377 on-base percentage… Drew 15 walks and was 12-of-16 on stolen bases… In conference play, hit .333 with four doubles, four triples, a home run and 18 RBI with a team-high .542 slugging percentage… Tallied 13 multi-hit games with three 3-hit performances… Also recorded seven multi-RBI games… Had a nine-game hit streak and a 16-game reached base safely streak which were both the second longest on the team… Opened the season with four-straight multi-hit games where he also had three walks and three steals… Hit his first career home run at Eastern Kentucky (3/4)…Had a three-hit, three RBI game in series opener against Delaware State (3/25)… Followed up with another three hits in the series finale against the Hornets (3/26)… Went 5-for-8 with four RBI in doubleheader against Delaware State and was later named the MEAC Rookie of the Week (4/29)… Homered in MEAC finale at Norfolk State (5/5)… Recorded an RBI single in MEAC Tournament opener against Florida A&M (5/17)… Connected for two more hits, two RBI and a double in the Tournament against eventual conference champion North Carolina A&T (5/18).

Marcos' career ambition is to become a professional baseball player. In high school he played baseball. There, he was All-District (2016) and All-Distrcit (2017).
