WASHINGTON, D.C. – Despite giving up just one run, Coppin State's softball team was unable to get its bats going in a 1-0 loss at Georgetown on Tuesday afternoon at Washington Nationals Youth Academy. The Eagles now stand at 4-23 on the season as the Hoyas move to 11-24.
Isabel Tobias gave up just one run on six hits over the first 4.1 innings before
Vanessa Carrizosa finished the game, allowing just two hits in 1.2 innings.
Unfortunately, Coppin did not put a runner on base and the lone run for either team came on a solo home run by the Hoyas in the third inning.
Coppin hosts Howard in a makeup game on Thursday, April 13 at 3:00 pm.
