WASHINGTON, D.C. – With a three-point differentiation in the final seven seconds of the game, and outnumbering Howard across the board in rebounds, three-point field goals, bench points and second chance points, the Coppin State women's basketball team fell shy of four to Howard University, 62-58 on Monday afternoon at the Burr Gymnasium. The Eagles now stand at 1-3 in conference, while Howard moves to 3-2 in the MEAC.

Jewel Watkins led the Eagles with a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds while hitting five 3-pointers.

Mossi Staples scored in double figures with ten points, six rebounds, and two assists.
