BALTIMORE – The Coppin State University Department of Athletics held its annual Eagle Awards virtually on Monday afternoon, and
Joseph Amoah of the track & field team and volleyball's
Salma Gonzalez earned the Department's Presidential Eagle Awards. Additionally,
Anthony Tarke of the men's basketball team and
Ashley Roman of the volleyball team received the University's Athletes of the Year awards.
CSU also recognized its Male and Female Newcomer of the Year Awards, which went to
Nendah Tarke of the men's basketball team and volleyball's
Chudear Tut, as well as its Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards, which went to baseball's
Devyan Dyal and
Rebekka Hauri of the volleyball team.
Aside from the Departmental awards, each team announced their sport's Most Valuable Player, Unsung Hero and Most Improved Player awards.
