BALTIMORE – Coppin State's women's tennis team fell at Loyola University Maryland, 7-0 in the final collegiate match of the season on Thursday night at McClure Tennis Center.
The Eagles were blanked in the first two doubles flights but
Mackenzie Jones and
Shariah Dunwell won a pair of games in a 6-2 loss.
Megan Etienne won the second set at No. 4 singles, 6-0 to force a third and deciding set but fell, 6-1. Every CSU player took games in their singles matches with
Brittanie Cahua taking four in the second set in the top spot. Fellow seniors
Tinashe Gwaze and
Ajla Hrnjic won three games each.
