ORANGEBURG, S.C. – Coppin State's
Chance Graham scored a game-high 21 points while making 10-of-14 free throws in a 61-42 victory at South Carolina State on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles have now won two-straight games.
Oluwadamilola Oloyede was also in double figures for Coppin, finishing with 12 points while
Alexandria Hamilton added nine points off the bench.
CSU led 14-13 after the first quarter, closing the period on a 10-2 run. The Eagles outscored South Carolina State, 19-9 in the second to take a 33-22 lead to the half. After laying virtually even in the third quarter, Coppin pulled away in the fourth quarter, outscoring the hosts, 13-6.
The Eagles return to action on Monday, February 17 at Norfolk State with tipoff slated for 5:30 pm.
Jacquese Alston scored 11 points to lead the Bulldogs.
