Chance Graham both scored in double figures while
Tyree Allen had her best game as Coppin State's women's basketball team fell at 25
th-ranked West Virginia, 82-47 on Thursday morning at WVU Coliseum.

How It Happened
- Coppin got off to a strong start with a layup by E'Mya Price and a three by Aliyah Lawson to take a 5-2 lead 1:37 into the game.
- Following a WVU jumper, Alexandria Hamilton hit a free throw at the 7:24 mark to give the Eagles a 6-4 advantage, but the Mountaineers responded with a 15-0 run over the next 4:19 to take a 19-6 lead.
- Chance Graham got the Eagles back on the board with a layup, but West Virginia led 23-8 after one quarter.
- CSU used a 10-3 run early in the second to pull within 28-18 as Lawson scored five and the run was capped off with a three by Marley Grenway.
- The teams played virtually even the remainder of the quarter with Coppin outscoring the Mountaineers 17-14 in the period to go into halftime down, 37-25.
- Tyree Allen hit a jumper out of the break to cut the deficit back to ten points, but WVU began to pull away with an extended run and led by as many as 60-35 with 2:29 left.
- Grenway hit another three and Allen added a layup to cut the deficit down to 61-41 after three quarters.
- Graham hit a three 1:14 into the fourth to pull CSU back to within 20, but WVU went on a 12-0 run to seal the win.
Inside the Numbers
- Aliyah Lawson scored a season-high 15 points on 5-of-11 shooting with a pair of threes and 3-of-5 from the line. She also grabbed three rebounds, had a pair of assists, two steals and a blocked shot.
- Chance Graham was also in double figures with 13 points to go with four rebounds.
- Tyree Allen had the best game of her young career, setting season-highs in points (8), on 4-of-6 shooting, and matching it in rebounds (7).
- Marley Grenway hit a pair of threes for six points.
- West Virginia outshot Coppin, 42.4% to 36.2% and held a 41-24 rebounding advantage. Coppin also committed 19 turnovers which led to 22 Mountaineers points.
- WVU got five players in double figures, led by Kysre Gondrezick with 20 points.
