Softball Comes Up Empty at Morgan State

BALTIMORE, Md. – Madison Didion allowed just one unearned run on four hits but the Coppin State softball team fell to MEAC rival Morgan State, 1-0, on Sunday afternoon at Lois T. Murray Field.  The Eagles now stand at 13-22 overall and 9-8 in conference play and host Howard University on Wednesday, May 2 in a pivotal 4:30 single game.

Morgan State scored its only run in the bottom of the first on a successful double steal which forced a throwing error and a run to score.

Coppin only managed one base hit on the day coming off the bat of freshman Nia Bowe with one out in the seventh inning.

Didion kept the Eagles alive, striking out five on the day and retiring seven-straight Bears on separate occasions throughout the game.
