BALTIMORE, Md. – In its regular season finale, the Coppin State women's tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision to MEAC rival Delaware State on Wednesday afternoon. The Eagles finish up at 3-11 overall and 1-4 in conference play.
Delaware State earned victories at No. 2 and 3 doubles to collect the point heading into singles play.
Brittanie Cahua and
Tinashe Gwaze trailed, 6-4 in their No. 1 slot when the Hornets clinched the point.
The Hornets were able to win the match as they collected singles victories at Nos. 2, 3 and 6. Cahua won the first set in the first position while Gwaze won five games in her two sets in the second spot.
