Amoah, Lewis, Owusu-Antwi Lead Men’s Track to 7th Place Finish at MEAC’s

LANDOVER, Md. – Coppin State's men's track & field team finished seventh overall with 33 points at the MEAC Championships held at the Prince George's Sports & Learning Complex this weekend.  North Carolina A&T was the team champion.

Joseph Amoah and Martin Owusu-Antwi took second and third, respectively, in the 200m Dash in times of 21.59 and 21.64.  Amoah also took 8th in the 60m Dash (6.97) and the duo also led off the 4x400m Relay to a second place time of 3:15.33.  Anchoring the relay was Cheyenne Johnson and Anija Addison.

Also medaling for the Eagles was Aaron Lewis who took the silver in the 60m Hurdles in 7.88, breaking his own school-record.

In field events, Elijah Noel took ninth in the triple jump (43' 2.50") and Balvin Richards who finished 10th in the shot put (42' 9.50").

The Eagles return to the track on March 2-4 at the IC4A Championships in Boston.
