EMMITSBURG, Md. – Coppin State baseball traveled to Mount St. Mary's and fell 7-3 on Wednesday, May 3
rd at Straw Family Stadium. The Eagles outhit the Mount 12-6 but had three errors that hurt them in the end.
Coppin State's overall record drops to 10-28 and Mount St. Mary's improves to 7-32.
Junior 
Caleb Duhay had a season-high three hits, totaling four bases and tying a season-best with two RBI and his second double of the year.
The Mount scored two runs in the first inning, three in the fourth inning and one run in each of the seventh and eighth innings. The Eagles came up with their three runs in the ninth inning on five hits.
Freshman 
Cole Gerula led off with a single to center field and then freshman 
Isaiah Wilson also singled to center field. Sophomore 
Erik Crossman singled up the middle advancing Wilson and then Duhay doubled to right center field scoring both runners. Sophomore 
Malik White RBI singled to left field scoring Duhay for CSU's final run.
Coppin State's starting pitcher sophomore 
Devin Rivera Ozuna (2-2) went 4.2 innings striking out one batter. Freshmen relief pitchers 
Corey Treyes and 
Joshua Hancock both fanned two batters in their time on the mound.
Duhay went 3-for-4 at the plate with a pair of RBI and one run scored. Sophomore 
Jamar Criss had two hits including a double while senior 
Clinton Arnold and junior 
John Bonanca also had hits.
Coppin State heads to Dover, DE for their final MEAC weekend series against Delaware State University on Saturday and Sunday, May 6-7.
