BALTIMORE, Md. – Coppin State dropped its final non-conference game of the season to #14
th-ranked Maryland, 113-49, on Wednesday afternoon at PEC Arena. The Eagles now stand at 1-11 on the year while the Terrapins improve to 11-2.
Genesis Lucas led Coppin with 17 points while making 7-of-8 from the line as she continues to move up the all-time leaders in Coppin history. A senior from Brandywine, Md., Lucas now ranks 11
th in school-history with 1,061 points.

Candice Beverly also reached double figures with 13 points on 5-of-10 shooting while making 3-of-4 from the stripe.
The Eagles also got contributions offensively from
Chance Graham who tallied nine points and a team-high five rebounds.
Maraiyah Smith made her return and sunk a pair of threes for six points.
Maryland led from start to finish, making 59.7% of its shots and were led by
Eleanna Christinaki who went off for her a career-high 32 points off the bench in her Terrapins debut. Christinaki played the first half of last season at the University of Florida.
Three other Maryland players scored in double figures with
Blair Watson finishing with 23,
Kaila Charles with 19 and
Brianna Fraser with 12.
