Keena Samuels paced the Lady Eagles with a game high 20 points in Coppin State's 65-46 setback loss to North Carolina A&T in the championship game of the 2016 MEAC Women's Basketball Tournament on Saturday, March 12 in Norfolk Scope Arena.

 Samuels added four rebounds, two assists and two steals on 8-for-15 shooting from the floor in 36 minutes of game action.

She knocked down four of her six foul shots.

Amber Griffin compiled 10 points and five rebounds in 39 minutes on the floor.

Omaah Tayong corralled a team best 10 rebounds. She chipped in two points and a steal in 26 minutes.

Genesis Lucas led the Lady Eagles with two assists. She tallied five points and two steals.

Jordan Swails led Coppin State with four points, six rebounds, an assist and a steal in 22 minutes off the bench.

The Lady Eagles shot a tournament low 28.6% (18-for-63) from the field.

Coppin State scored 15 points and racked up eight steals on 22 Lady Aggie turnovers.

The Lady Eagles fought back from a 16-point deficit to pull within three points with a 6-0 run late in the third quarter.
