Baskerville Sets School Record at NCAA East Preliminary Championships

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Coppin State freshman Brandon Baskervillebroke his own school record in the high jump at the NCAA East Preliminary Round Championships on Thursday at Robert C. Haugh Track and Field Complex, but failed to advance to the Outdoor Championships at Drake University.
Baskerville, competing in flight two, cleared a school-record 6-11.00 to finish seventh in the flight. He placed 15th overall and narrowly missed advancing to the outdoor championships.
The top 12 jumpers moved on the NCAA Championships and five athletes advanced by clearing 7-00.25.
Baskerville broke his own school record of 6-10.75, which he had cleared on two occasions this year.
