Victorian Wins 400 Hurdles at MEAC Outdoor Championships

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Coppin State senior Jibri Victorian won the 400-meter hurdles on the final day of the 2013 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday at Irwin Belk Stadium on the campus of North Carolina A&T.
Victorian won the event in a time of 50.77, which marked his top time of the outdoor season. It also marked the first time in his career that Victorian has captured the 400-meter hurdle title at the MEAC Championships.
Shane Green and the Eagles 4x400 relay team earned fourth-place finishes on the day.
Green finished fourth with a jump of 47-11.25, while the team of Rosen Daniel, Donell Taylor, Victorian and Alaric Coker finished fourth in 3:15.09.
The Eagles also received points from Jeremy Dorsey and Andre Thomas. Dorsey finished eighth in the 110 hurdles in a time of 14.53, while Thomas placed eighth in the 800 meters in 1:58.34.
The Eagles 4x100 team of Haysean Cowie-Clarke, Dorsey, Victorian and Daniel finished 10th in a time of 42.27.
Coppin State finished 12th in the team standings with 32 points, while Hampton won the team title with 119 points.
