PHILADELPHIA -- Coppin State senior
Alexis Easterling finished fourth overall in the heptathlon at the 2013 Penn Relays at historic Franklin Field on Wednesday.
Easterling, who was third after day one, finished fourth with a personal-record total of 4,618 points. Brittney Howell of Penn State finished first with 5,084 points, while Lindsey Hufnagel of Western Michigan was second with 4,996 points and Kathryn Pickett of Western Michigan finished third with 4,693 points.
Easterling's best event on day two was the 800 meters. She finished third overall in a time of 2:21.80, which earned her 799 points.
She was fourth in the long jump with a mark of 17-9.50, which scored 677 points. She also threw the javelin 61-10.00 and scored 268 points.
