CSU athletes named to Commissioner’s All-Academic Team

NORFOLK, Va. - The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) announced the 2014 Commissioner's All-Academic Team as 1,108 student-athletes from the conference's 13 member institutions who achieved academic success during the 2013-14 academic school recognizing year. The team honors student-athletes, including sophomores to seniors, with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better.
"I am excited to highlight the 1,108 student-athletes who maintained a 3.0 or better grade point average during the 2013-14 academic school year," said Commissioner Dennis E. Thomas. "I would like to commend the administrators, athletic academic support staff and personnel, coaches, institutions, and parents for their contributions to the academic success of these student-athletes."
Coppin State had 71 student-athletes recognized.

"Coppin State athlete continues to personify the term student-athlete," Coppin State Director of Athletics Derrick K. Ramsey said. "While we have not met our goals of a 3.2 GPA across the board, we continue to increase the number of student-athletes on the MEAC All-Academic team. We hope to continue to make our alma mater, Coppin proud."
