SERIES HISTORYCoppin State leads the all-time series against Virginia Union, 1-0. The two teams met for the first time last year as the Eagles clenched a 71-69 victory on their home court.

ABOUT VIRGINIA UNIONVirginia Union improved to 3-1 with a commanding 101-48 win over The Apprentice School. The Panthers had four players in double-digits, with three scoring over 20 points. Ashle Freeman topped the team with 28 points. ShaHadah Barrett dropped 24 points and 10 rebounds. Taylor White had 24 points and Lady Walker finished with 12 points. The Division II Panthers were picked to finish second in the CIAA Northern Division.

Janelle Lane earned her 10
th career game and third game this season scoring in double figures. Lane is the Eagles' best scorer, averaging 12.3 points per game. She is shooting .600 (18-for-30) from the field.
POUNDING THE BOARDSBria Harris leads Coppin State in rebounding, averaging 9.5 rebounds per outing. Harris' performance on Tuesday marked the fourth time she has finished with 10 or more rebounds in her career. Harris is third overall in the MEAC in rebounding and she leads the conference in defensive rebounding.
LOOKING AHEADCoppin State packs its bags for a four-game road trip over the next two weeks. The Eagles make their first stop in Athens, GA to face the University of Georgia on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
