Coppin State's Deandra Daniel of the women's track and field team was announced the MEAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week, announced by the conference office on Wednesday, January 27^th. The senior jumper from Trinidad & Tobago finished second overall, but first amongst collegiate competitors, in the high jump competition at the New York City Gotham Cup meet on Saturday, January 23^rd. Deandra Daniel leaped 1.75m (5' 8.75 ft.) marking a season-best in the event.
