In two games last week, Taariq Cephas shot 57.8 percent from the field while totaling 29 points, 15 assists, 10 rebounds, and eight steals against Eastern Kentucky and Akron. He scored a season-high 17 points and tied his career-high with five made 3-pointers against EKU. He was better to end the week, recording his second career double-double with 12 points and a career-best 10 rebounds. He also complemented that effort with eight assists and a career-high seven steals against Akron. Cephas was named MEAC Player of the Week.
