Women's Cross Country Announces 2016 Award Winners

Junior Kadeem Curtis and freshman Lunnise Gibson were the women's cross country winners at the 2016 Eagles Award Banquet on May 10.
Kadeem Curtis was voted most improves while Lunnise Gibson was award team MVP honors.
The Coppin State Lady Eagles women's cross-country team enjoyed some memorable efforts during the 2015 season with a team comprised of sprinters, hurdlers, jumpers and multi-event athletes.
Kadeem Curtis completed the season with top 20 finishes in six races, including consecutive top 10 finishes at the DSU Farm Run Invitational (Oct. 8) and the Delaware State Invitational (Oct. 17), running a season best 20:48.94 at the DSU Farm Run Invite.
Lunnise Gibson also completed the year with four top 20 finishes and was the only runner to place in the top 40 in every race ran this season. Gibson concluded her season by running a personal-best time of 20:38.80 at the 2015 MEAC Championships.
