Eagles Set For 2016 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Prelims

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Three Eagles from Coppin State University qualified for the 2016 NCAA Division I Men's Outdoor Track and Field Preliminary Championships this weekend beginning on Thursday, May 26th hosted by the University of North Florida.

Senior Shane Green with juniors Michael James and Mark London made the field and will compete this Thursday and Saturday.
 
The duo of Michael James (1:49.21) and Mark London (1:49.30) enter this weekend ranked 46th and 47th respectively in the nation running in the 800 meters event. Both recorded their top times at the Florida Relays. Their race takes place on Thursday at 8:35 p.m.
 
Shane Green ranks 19th in the men's triple jump competition with a personal best mark of 15.80 meters at the Penn Relays. His event is slated for Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
