ODENTON, Md. – Coppin State's bowling team placed fifth at the MEAC North #3 at Greenway Bowl hosted by Howard University.
Aushia Mclean led the Eagles with a 12
th place performance out of 38 bowlers with an average of 161.75 including a high score of 192 in a tough loss to the host Bison.
Jasmine Newman,
Jazzleen McRae and
Nia Turner took 14
th, 15
th and 16
th, respectively with averages of 152.50, 148.75 and 148.00. Newman also performed well against the Bison with a 188.
In three games,
Mya Hamlett averaged a 130.67 while
Erica Monk notched a 135 in her only game of the tournament.
The Eagles return to the lanes on March 2-4 at the Monmouth Hawk Fight at King Pin Lanes in Egg Harbor Township, N.J.
