ALTOONA, Pa. – Coppin State's bowling team wrapped up its weekend at the Red Flash Invitational and finished 14th overall at Holiday Bowl.
During Saturday's traditional matches, the Eagles dropped the opener to Morgan State, 816-768, before defeating Mount Aloysius, 781-724. Coppin then suffered a loss to Wilmington University before going victorious against both St. Vincent College, 740-732, and New Jersey City, 782-678.
Individually,
Aushia Mclean led the Eagles with a 157.00 average in five matches while
Jasmine Newman just behind at 153.20. In four matches,
Nia Turner turned in a 159.00 with
Jazzleen McRae coming in next with a 155.75 average.
Rounding out the top five for the team was
Mya Hamlett with a 149.50.
Erica Monk turned in a two-match total of 277 while
Cierra Hunter bowled a 110 in her lone appearance.
In Sunday's Championship Bracket, the Eagles defeated New Jersey City and St. Vincent College before falling short to Wilmington in the 13
th Place Match.
The Eagles return to the lanes on February 9-11 at the Golden Bear Classic at Berks Lanes in Reading, Pa.
